Many IT projects fail because the parties do not exercise sufficient care to ensure that the supplier's and the customer's expectation match. Often, site Engineers have one specification on paper, the client has a broader or more specific use in mind; the supplier delivers available specification.

What results ultimately is complete confusion in the implementation of a hardware and software platform that are not fit for purpose.

Computer Supply contracts should not be compressed into the world of usual standard form contracts; as these do not provide for the specific or broader needs of the Computer user or
Computer software specifics.

Most users or corporate firms purchase computers and Software and presume they know what function they are supposed to play within their environment.

This presumption, lacking technical input leads to legal problems when redress is sought to remedy a malfunctioning Computer/ Network
installation.

A firm may have outsourced its IT management systems to a contractor in accordance with agreed SLA (Service level agreements). Consequently, there will be  need to have proper oversight of the details and implementation of the contract, interpret compliance and resolve  disputes arising from compliance.

What better way to have all the stages in this process brought under one umbrella.

It is amazing to find how much is left out of a contract by site Engineers and suppliers after a contract is supposedly completed.

It is better to avoid potential litigation from  the on set; this will entail proper drafting of the IT project contract, in addition, to constant monitoring at the project implementation phase.
